Sportsman Rule Update for 2023

Hoss, Tulsa, OK. (August 1, 2022) – Port City Raceway officials look to make a change to the Storm Roofing & Construction Sportsman class effective at the start of 2023. Starting the 2023 season all competitors in the Sportsman division will have to run carburetors. No injection will be allowed. Honda, Suzuki, and Kawasaki will be allowed to run the Yamaha 600cc carburetor. When asked of the reasoning for the change Owner/promoter Shane Stewart had this to say “I feel like there needs to be some sort of a separation between the Sportsman class and the A class.” He went on to say “Announcing it now will give everyone ample amount of time to find a set of carburetors.” This is the only major rule change for the Sportsman division. If you have any further questions please feel free to call 918-899-9605.
