Blake Hahn Pleased with POWRi Performance
TULSA, Okla. (March 24, 2015) With the Devil’s Bowl Spring Nationals succumbing to the wrath of Mother Nature, Blake Hahn rerouted to Port City Raceway in Tulsa, Okla. to take on the Lucas Oil POWRi National Midget Series in the Hard Eight Racing No. 8k this past weekend
“I don’t get to run the Midget very much, but overall we had a good weekend,” said Hahn. “The first night we made the feature and had a decent finish, then Saturday night we had a good Heat Race, then went from the sixth row to win the Qualifier so that set us up good for the feature. We started third and ended up running fourth.”
Settling for eighth on Friday night, Hahn ran as high as second in Saturday’s A-Feature, but mechanical problems, coupled with a rough late race restart, dropped the Kantor Oil Company No. 8k to fourth at the finish.
“Somebody popped out of gear on the restart and by the time we got gathered up, we had already been shoved back. After that we just kind of maintained because we were having injection problems since about the half-way point. I don’t know if a chuck of mud hit it or what, but the No. 1 injector came unplugged. I has just happy to finish where I did being down on power.”
Putting the Midget aside, Hahn will return to action this Friday, March 27 at the Golden Triangle Raceway Park in Beaumont, Texas and Saturday, March 28 at the Battleground Speedway in Highlands, Texas with the Southern Trailer Works ASCS Gulf South Region presented by Griffith Truck and Equipment.
