Season Summary: Bradley Fezard

BONNERDALE, Ark. – Coming off his first career win in 2014, Bradley Fezard looked to snag more victories over the course of season. Though he wasn’t able to break through for another win, Fezard narrowly missed out on a victory on multiple occasions. In all, he tallied ten top-tens in 15 main event starts throughout the season.

Beginning with two doubleheader weekends at Port City Raceway in Tulsa, Okla., Fezard opened up with a 13th-place effort in the nonwing class on night one of the Turnpike Challenge, but suffered fuel problems and ultimately took a DNF. Night two featured winged micros, and a fifth-place B-Main finish kept him out of the main event. The following weekend was the annual Spring Fling event, and Fezard competed in two classes per night. On Friday, a 14th-place finish in nonwing came before he rounded out the top ten in outlaw. After swapping the nonwing division in favor of A-Class, Fezard ran well most of the race but had to retire to the pits near the end. The best finish of the weekend came in the outlaw class, earning an eighth-place showing.

An extremely wet April allowed only one race at Fezard’s home track, I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Ark. He nabbed his first top-five of the year on April 11. Into May, he continued to improve on the early season woes. A runner-up finish on the 2nd was followed by a third-place run on May 23.

A trip back to Oklahoma, this time Oklahoma City’s I-44 Riverside Speedway, kicked off June. In the Oklahoma Grand Prix, the 15-year-old Fezard took seventh and 11th on night one, but trouble on the final night only resulted in B-Main finishes. A visit to I-30 and an eighth-place finish came between the Grand Prix and Southern Illinois Raceway’s Highbanks Hustle. An astounding 130 cars turned out at the Marion, Ill. 1/8-mile on June 27. With just the top 36 in overall points moving to either the B- or A-Main, Fezard hustled in preliminary action to earn one of those positions. The result would ultimately be a 16th-place run in the B-Main.

After being off nearly a month, a return to Port City for the Nonwing Nationals was up. The weekend was one of many troubles, and though Fezard nearly transferred from two B-Mains, his bids were fruitless in the end. On July 25, he made his lone appearance at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Ark. and captured third place.

The Mini Sprint Nationals in Oklahoma City bridged July into August, but Fezard’s weekend ended with a DNF in B-Main action. A fourth-place run at I-30 on August 8 took him into a month-long unplanned hiatus.

Once returning to action, Fezard was once again effective at I-30, battling for wins on September 12 and 26. The former brought a runner-up finish, but Fezard had his race cut short in the latter while running near the front.

The 2nd Annual Outlaw Nationals at Port City would close out the season; Fezard made a preliminary main event during that race in 2014, but was unable to gain on that run this season. Ninth and eighth in qualifiers on the first two nights came while Fezard was battling sickness, a condition that only worsened leading up to the finale. In time, Fezard relinquished the wheel to his father for the final night of action, bringing his 2015 season to a close.

Fezard would like to thank Brandon’s Ranch and Aaron’s Powdercoating, as well as his mom and dad, Frank Galusha at Eagle Motorsports Inc, Justin Lovins with ML Amsoil, and his great fans for their continued support.

2015 Stats

26 races, 15 features, 0 wins, 4 podiums, 6 top fives, 10 top tens, 3 DNFs
