Flud Doubles Up, Carroll, Nicholson, Mahaffey and Rowland Race to Victory at Port City

TULSA, Okla. (July 22, 2018) - Frank Flud doubled up while Kris Carroll, Dave Nicholson, Shawn Mahaffey and Freddy Rowland each raced their way to victory lane on Saturday night at Port City Raceway.

Kris Carroll claimed the POWRi Outlaw feature event after starting fourth in the 20-lap affair. Brock Berreth crossed in the second spot with Frank Flud third. Curtis Jones finished in fourth and Harlan Hulsey fifth.

Spencer Mason sixth. Seventh went to Abbi Buntin. Garrett Olson took the eighth spot. Tom Calico and Shane Hacker rounded out the top ten.

Jones and Flud took the heat race wins.

In the POWRi Sportsman division, Dave Nicholson took the victory. Ryan Cody picked up the second spot while Matt Taylor took the final spot on the podium. Jeremy Wickham took fourth and Matt Cash fifth.

Larry Martinez, Randy Myers, Troy Minton, Kaimron Schoonover and Darrius Myers rounded out the top ten.

Wickham and Cody picked up heat victories.

23 POWRi Non-Wing drivers checked in for competition and Frank Flud ran to victory with his pole starting spot. Jeffrey Newell took the second spot. Third went to Jerry McGinnis. Jake Nail and Curtis Jones brought up the top five.

Issac Barr sixth. Seventh went to Ronnie James. Thad Bennett eighth. Conner Lee and John Hull brings up the top ten.

Bennett, Flud and McGinnis picked up the three heat wins while Ryan Mushrush took the B-Feature winner.

Shawn Mahaffey has became a familiar face in victory lane in the POWRi Restricted class. Mahaffey who started on the pole took advantage of the starting spot and went on to win. Second went to Baron Silva. Brody McLaughlin third. Alyson Colby and Kaden Smith came home fourth and fifth.

Ryan Cotney picked up the sixth spot. Jase Mosley crossed in seventh. Kylee Young in eighth. Thomas Byford ninth and Ryker Pace tenth.

Glenn James Bratti and Mahaffey were victorious in heat race competition.

Frank Flud swept the night in both POWRi A-Class and POWRi Non-Wing competition at Port City Raceway for the second week in a row. Jake Nail crossed the line in second after starting fourth. Austin Helt finished third. Kris Carroll charged from 20th to finish fourth. Cole Roberts rounded out the top five.

Caleb Pence maintained the sixth spot. Ryan Mushrush took the seventh spot. Grady Mercer finished eighth after starting 17th. Blake Battles claimed the ninth spot and Skylar Rhoades tenth.

Avery Goodman, Flud and Cory Kelly picked up heat wins. Mercer took the B-Feature win.

It was all Freddy Rowland in the POWRi Junior Sprint division. Rowland swept the night picking up the heat and feature victory. Brody McClelland picked up the second spot. Hayden Mabe crossed in third. Bryson Mosley fourth and Kailey Roller fifth.

Next up at Port City Raceway is the annual Non-Wing Nationals on Friday and Saturday, July 27-28.
