Flud, Carroll, Andrews, Mahaffey and Mosley Capitalize at Port City Raceway

TULSA, Okla. (August 19, 2018) - Frank Flud, Kris Carroll, Chris Andrews, Shawn Mahaffey and Bryson Mosley capitalized on Saturday night in their respective divisions at Port City Raceway.

In POWRi Outlaw competition, Frank Flud went to victory lane. Flud started fifth in the 20-lap feature event and would work his way up to take the win. Brandon Anderson crossed in second with Delaney Jost in third. Brock Berreth was fourth and Kaylee Bryson rounded out the top five.

Curtis Jones finished sixth. Abbi Buntin was seventh. Eighth went to Tom Calico. Scott Sawyer picked up ninth with Spencer Mason bringing up the top ten.

Berreth and Danny James were victorious in heat race competition.

Kris Carroll drove to victory in the POWRi Sportsman class on Saturday. Dave Nicholson finished in the runner up spot. Matt Taylor crossed in third. Ryan Cody fourth. David Doss was fifth.

Troy Minton ended up sixth. Danny Clum seventh. Randy Myers finished eighth. Ninth went to Matt Cash and Jeremy Wickham rounded out the top ten.

Nicholson and Carroll picked up heat race wins.

It was all Chris Andrews in the POWRi Non-Wing division. Andrews started second at the start of the 20-lap affair and would out run Frank Flud to the line. Jake Nail charged from 12th to pick up the third spot. Ronnie James was fourth with Avery Goodman crossing fifth.

Trenton Jackson crossed in sixth. Curtis Jones came from 17th to finish in seventh. Hunter Little took eighth. Randy Wagnon, Jr. was ninth with Conner Lee racing to tenth.

Jackson, Jace McIntosh, Andrews and Flud captured heat wins while Lee took honors in the B-Feature.

Kris Carroll doubled up on Saturday by picked up the POWRi A-Class win. Carroll also picked up the POWRi Sportsman victory. Kris started in P5 at the beginning of the A-Class feature event and would hold off a hard charging Frank Flud. Flud crossed in second after starting 13th. Kaylee Bryson finished in third, Darien Roberts was fourth with Jake Nail fifth.

Sixth went to Steven Curbow. Sawyer Guidy came from 20th to cross in seventh. Jace McIntosh was eighth. Ninth went to Grady Mercer with Jayson Campbell coming home tenth.

In heat race competition it was Carroll, Blake Battles, Ethan Wicker and Jake Rosario taking honors. Garth Kasiner claimed the lone B-Main.

Call Shawn Mahaffey butter because he is on a roll in POWRi Restricted. Mahaffey used his second position starting spot to his advantage and would beat Dooley Harris to the line. Baron Silva ran third. TJ Thompson chased his way to fourth with Glenn James Bratti coming in the top five.

Kolton Nimrod took the sixth spot. Jack Hall raced his way to seventh. Jase Mosley was eighth. Nonth went to Jeramiah Green with Aidan Silva bringing up the top ten.

Harris and Mahaffey were winners in Restricted heat race competition.

Bryson Mosley swept the night in the POWRi Junior Sprint class. Starting from the pole, Bryson ran off to capture the victory. Hudsyn Truitt finished second. Hayden Mabe crossed in third. Brody McClelland was fourth with Cale McGee in fifth.

Jase Blevins sixth and Ayden Parris ended the night with a DQ.

Port City Raceway returns to racing action on Saturday, August 25 with all six classes in action.
