Flud Triples Up, Cody Repeats while Drake and McClelland Score at Port City Raceway

TULSA, Okla. (October 7, 2018) - Frank Flud pulled a triple winning A-Class, Non-Wing and Outlaw. Ryan Cody Repeats in Sportsman while Kale Drake and Brody McClelland also score victories on Saturday night at the Port City Raceway.

Going three for three Flud rolled from fourth in the POWRi Outlaw A-Feature to pick up the win. Dalton Brown dropped one position to come home second. Curtis Jones claimed the last podium position. Kevin Bauer finished in fourth with Keith Blurton in fifth.

Kris’s Carroll who started eighteenth finished sixth. Blake Battles was seventh. Danny James ended eighth. Jake Nail ninth and Emme Hughes rounding out the top ten.

Brown, Flud and Jones were victorious in heat race action.

Frank Flud went from second to first in the POWRi Non-Wing 20-lap feature event. Jake Nail crosses in the runner up spot. Avery Goodman was third. Zac Moody finished up in the fourth spot with Jesse Frazier rounding out the top five.

Shawn Mahaffey ended up sixth. Caleb Pence was scores in the seventh spot. Matt Cash eighth. Kaylee Bryson took ninth with Dylan Dickson in tenth.

Nail, Flud and Pence scores heat wins. Curtis Jones won the lone B-Feature.

Passing points put Flud on the pole in the POWRi A-Class division and would run away with the victory. Kris Carroll advanced nine spots to second. Jake Nail also maneuvered nine spots to cross in third. Kaylee Bryson took fourth. Austin Helt was fifth.

Jake Rosario was sixth. Dustin Dixon scores seventh. Eighth went to Cole Roberts. Caleb Pence ninth and Chase Porter tenth.

Rosario, Helt and Bryson picked up heat race wins.

Ryan Cody repeated in POWRi Sportsman on Saturday. Cody started pole on the A-Feature event and would go on to win. Dave Nicholson was second. Jeremy Wickham ended up in the third spot. Larry Martinez was fourth and Bobby McIntosh fifth.

Troy Minton took the sixth spot. Randy Myers moved up two spots to seventh. Kaimron Schoonover was eighth at the line. Cory Reed claimed ninth and Jerry Heuertz closing out the top ten.

Nicholson and Martinez were victorious in heat race competition.

Testing out a new car, Kale Drake a regular with the NOW600 Lucas Oil National Series took advantage of an off weekend to prepare for the Pete Frazier Memorial and made it worth it by scoring the POWRi Restricted feature event. Dooley Harris finished in the runner up spot. Jase Mosley was third at the line. Kaden Smith took the fourth spot with Baron Silva claiming fifth.

Shawn Mahaffey was sixth. Kylee Young seventh. Eighth went to Glenn James Bratti. Rees Moran was ninth and Ryker Pace finished tenth.

Harris and Silva were heat race winners.

Brody McClelland returned to victory lane in POWRi Junior Sprint action. McClelland rolled from P3 in the 15 lap affair. Cale McGee was second at the line. Bryson Mosley rolled to third. Hudsyn Truitt ended up in fourth. Hayden Mabe rounded out the top five.

Sawyer Beers took the sixth spot. Carter Sauer was seventh. Garyn Howard eighth. Cooper Stout was ninth and Ayden Parrish in tenth.

Mabe and McGee were the nights two Junior Sprint heat winners.

The 2018 points season comes to a close this Saturday, October 13 at Port City Raceway. Also Saturday afternoon will be the DRC Finishing Tournament.
