Port City Raceway Next For Lucas Oil NOW600 Series

(May 2, 2022) One of the most anticipated showdowns of the season is upon us, as the Lucas Oil National Open Wheel 600 Series presented by Hi-Plains Building Division takes on the ferociously tough weekly competition at Port City Raceway on Friday, May 6, and, Saturday, May 7 at the 5th annual Terry Walker Memorial.

Featuring the three main divisions of the Lucas Oil National Open Wheel 600 Series presented by Hi-Plains Building Division (A-Class, Stock Non-Wing, and Restricted), both nights will also feature Junior Sprints, Sportsman, and Outlaw Micros.

Taking the opportunity to get laps at the eighth-mile oval this past weekend, several NOW600 Series teams were in attendance, with current A-Class and Non-Wing points leader, J.J. Loss, picking up his first win of the season in A-Class.

Leading up to this weekend’s double-header, teams will have a chance to get laps with Practice on Thursday, May 5. Pits open at 2:00 P.M. with Practice from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. (CDT). Pit Passes are $20.

Friday, May 6, and Saturday, May 7 will open at Noon for teams to begin pulling into the Pits.

Friday, May 6, teams will draw from 5:00 P.M. to 6:15 P.M. Hot Lap/Qualifying will be at 7:00 P.M. with Racing at 8:00 P.M. (CDT).

Saturday, May 7, will move up an hour with draw from 4:00 P.M. to 5:15 P.M. Hot Lap/Qualifying will be at 6:00 P.M. with Racing at 7:00 P.M. (CDT).

Tickets per night are $10 per Adults, $6 for Youth (6-14) and Seniors, with Kids five and under, as well as Veterans admitted free. Pit Passes are $30 per night, per class.
