Non-Wing Nationals Quickly Approaches
Tulsa, OK (July 9, 2024) – The highly anticipated Engler Machine & Tool Non-Wing Nationals, presented by FK Rod Ends, is fast approaching at Port City Raceway. We are thrilled to announce that Performance Electronics and A1 Autobody have joined as sponsors for this year's event, significantly boosting the payouts. Here are five things you need to know about the Non-Wing Nationals.
This event is a show up points event for our weekly competitors. All racers will receive 50 points per night for signing in and taking a competitive green flag lap.
Event format, Drivers will pill draw for starting position, and receive passing points in heat race competition. The top 14 in each classes will move into the a feature with the remainder filed going to a b Feature if needed. The top 4 from Friday will lock into the A Feature Saturday. Saturday same format however top 10 from heat races will join the 4 drivers locked in from Friday.
Classes racing will be the Jr Sprints, Restrictors, Sportsman and an open/outlaw class. Open/Outlaw will allow outlaw motors, however an ASCS2 is mandatory and cock pit adjustable are not allowed.
Weight rules for this weekends event will be as follows:
Jr Sprint 385
Restrictor 700
Sportsman 725
Open/Outlaw 750Entry fees / Payout will be as follows:
Jr Sprint: $10 Entry. $350 to win 50 to start Saturday
Restrictor & Sportsman:$30 Entry. $800 to win $60 to start Saturday
Open/Outlaw: $60 Entry. $1,300 to win $100 to start Saturday
(Pit passes will be $35 each night. Entry fee will be paid at driver sign in window. Friday will be standard Port City Raceway payout.)
Thursday July 18 is practice night. Pit window will open at 5 pm with practice from 6 to 9. Pit passes will be $25. General admission gate, concession stand and Turn 5 will be closed for practice.
Friday July 19 is Prelim Night for the Engler Machine & Tool Non Wing Nationals presented by FK RodEnds. Pit passes booth will open at 4pm $35. General admission will open at 6 pm, with hot laps slated for 7:30 and races to follow. Top 4 finishers from Friday will lock in to Saturdays Championship feature.
Saturday July 20 is Championship night. Pit passes booth will open at 4pm $35. General admission will open at 6 pm, with hot laps slated for 7:30 and races to follow.
