Crouch Joining POWRi Midgets at Port City Raceway and I-44 Riverside Speedway This Weekend

Inside Line Promotions – HAUBSTADT, Ind. (Oct. 13, 2020) – Brenham Crouch is venturing to Oklahoma this weekend for a tripleheader with the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League.

Crouch will be behind the wheel of a Toyota Racing sponsored midget for Keith Kunz Motorsports on Thursday at Port City Raceway in Tulsa and on Friday and Saturday at I-44 Riverside Speedway in Oklahoma City.

Thursday’s event is the Donnie Ray Crawford Sooner State 55, which will feature a 55-lap A Main.

“I’ve got a few laps at Port City Raceway,” Crouch said. “Throttle control and finding all the moisture you can on the track is important. You have to be cautious because there will be wrecks in front of you whether you’re in the front or the back of the pack. I’ll have to be elbows up and on my toes all night.”

The 55-lap feature also presents a great opportunity for Crouch to learn if he can make the show during his first year racing a midget.

“I think it will be really fun,” he said. “Even if you start in the back I’ve come to find out you can’t be counted out and there’s opportunity to work your way forward. With more experience I’m excited to go back to Port City and see how much we’ve progressed since I made my debut there in May.”

The two races at I-44 Riverside Speedway will also mark Crouch’s first visit since his track debut in May.

“I’m super excited for that place,” he said. “I’ve always had speed there dating back to running micro sprints. Even in the midget for my first time we were fast. I’m really confident about racing at that track.”
