Turnpike Challenge Heads to Port City Raceway on March 13–14

Tulsa, OK (3/3/26) – Port City Raceway prepares for one of the most anticipated weekends of the early season as the POWRi National & West Midget Leagues converge on the Tulsa bullring for the annual Turnpike Challenge on Friday–Saturday, March 13–14.

The tight and racy confines of Port City Raceway have long delivered exciting midget competition, and this year’s edition is shaping up to be no different as top teams from across the country battle for early-season momentum.

A stout roster of national contenders is expected, headlined by Rylan Gray, Karter Sarff in the Trifecta Motorsports 7U, and Drew Sherman. Mack Leopard will compete with Chase McDermand Racing, while Brecken Reese and Kale Drake (RMS) add to a deep field.

The powerhouse lineup from Keith Kunz Motorsports is slated to include Jacob Denney, Gavin Miller, and Colton Robinson. Veteran frontrunner Kevin Thomas Jr. will represent 4 Kings Racing, with Hayden Reinbold driving for Reinbold Underwood Motorsports in pursuit of a strong early-season run.

With both POWRi National and West Midget competitors in attendance, fans can expect competitive events each night.

Also racing both nights will be the National Open Wheel 600 Series, bringing its national lineup to Tulsa. Divisions competing will include A-Class, Non-Wing, Restricted, and Jr. Sprints, creating a full program of action each night.
